Norway city Alesund lays on the west coast of the country in fjords. It has a very mild climate, affected by Gulfstream, though it doesn't rain here as often as in Oslo. In after years it had been rebuilt according one project. Alesund is considered a famous shopping spot, one of the largest shopping center in Norway being located near the city. There is a large port in Alesund, with many bossiness and fishing vessels moored. Fishing is an important element of the tourist' program here. Tourist might even be offered to fish from the hotel windows. Freshly cooked fish and shrimps is a popular proposition for tourists walking by the embankment, directly from the boards of boats moored there.
